The holiday season is one of the best times of the year to visit Falmouth. Many local businesses have decked the halls and offer exciting holiday activities for all ages.

On November 26th Highfield Hall & Gardens kicks off the season with its ‘Holiday at Highfield’ events. This landmark property located at the entrance to Beebe Woods is transformed into a winter wonderland full of lights and decorative holiday cheer! They offer exhibits for the whole family such as locally-made crafts and artisan gifts along with unique events such as this year’s ‘A Downton Holiday Murder Mystery Dinner’

Falmouth’s annual ‘Holidays by the Sea’ weekend runs from December 3rd through December 5th. The weekend kicks off with caroling at Nobska Lighthouse in Woods Hole. The cheer continues Saturday with the fun-filled Jingle Jog, a seaside visit from Santa Claus, and a celebratory gathering on The Village Green for the lighting of The Holiday Tree. The weekend festivities are capped off on Sunday with the annual Christmas Parade along Main Street.

All Aboard for The Polar Express Train Ride! This is a fun experience for parents and children alike. The Polar Express train ride and the movie soundtrack transport you into the magic of this Christmas favorite. There is also live entertainment and the opportunity to meet Santa. Children will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate and get to take home their very own sleighbell and golden ticket.
