LandVest Finds New Home in Stowe for Top Real Estate Team

LandVest, a longtime member of the Vermont community, has for years circled the Stowe area, but timing was just not right, until now. LandVest is pleased to have found our newest home on Mountain Road, and excited with the new addition to the Vermont team!

Meg Kauffman joins Wade Weathers and Averill Cook in our newly-created (but very experienced) Stowe team, which has combined for over $300M in gross sales over the past five years. The team’s presence in Stowe furthers our foothold in the high-end market throughout New England, the Adirondacks, and beyond. We’ve waited a long time for our new home, and now we’re putting down roots.

A Community and Market Expert

The addition of Meg to our broader Vermont team combines local expertise in the Stowe market with broader regional expertise, along with LandVest and Christie’s global marketing expertise. For the past 16 years, Meg has established a stellar reputation for both her dedication to clients and her experience and knowledge of the Stowe market. An industry leader, she received the esteemed Realtor of the Year award from the Lamoille Area Board of Realtors and has been consistently recognized as a top real estate agent. Meg moved to Stowe from Boston in 2003 and found a town that allowed her kids academic and recreational opportunities and a community that welcomed her family with open arms. More lifelong friends were made in those first two weeks in town than in two years in Boston. Since then, Meg’s immersed herself in community service on local boards such as the Stowe Free Library, the Stowe Cooperative Nursery School, TRIP Dance Company, and the Lamoille Area Board of Realtors, in addition to being the Secretary for the Stowe Land Trust.

Our new Stowe team: Wade Weathers, Meg Kauffman, and Averill Cook

”I’m excited about opening the LandVest office in Stowe with Wade and Ave. LandVest has a long and great tradition in Vermont and New England and brings an incredible set of unique resources to buyers and sellers in the Stowe Market,” says Kauffman.

So, Why Stowe?

Of course, the town is known for its skiing as the “Ski Capital of the East” and one of National Geographic’s “World’s Best Ski Towns”, but it’s truly a four-season destination rich in culture, arts, recreational opportunities, and beautiful scenery. It’s a quintessential New England town that’s home to Vermont’s Ski and Snowboard Museum, Stowe Mountain Resort, and the Trapp Family Lodge, the ski lodge started by the family on whom The Sound of Music was based. The area has become a destination for people from Boston and New York.
