No Crowds Here! LandVest’s Top Properties for Private Skiing

Winter is alive and well with great early season snow. Is there a better winter activity during the holiday season than skiing with family and friends?

This got us thinking…

Here are our top picks for great skiing on LandVest listings:

Beaver Brook Farm, Marshfield, Vermont

21.5 Kilometers of beautifully manicured ski trails

The owners of Beaver Brook Farm open up their property during the winter months to family and friends to enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during their tenure of ownership. State of the art grooming equipment, a detailed trail map, and trails for all skier types make the experience at Beaver Brook Farm difficult to rival in a private location. All this located very close to the State Capital, Montpelier.

Some more details/tidbits:

  • 21.5 kilometers of trails (see Map, right)
  • A cabin in the woods for a hot cocoa stop
  • A 15-acre pond in the center of it all. Ice-skating, perhaps?

High Pond Farm, Brandon, VermontVT0619-2N

Set high in the Green Mountains, totally surrounded by conserved land, this very private retreat still has a Poma lift with an opportunity to open up the favorite trails from the old “High Pond Mountain” ski area.

Grey Meadow Farm, Tinmouth, VT

On nearly 1300 acres, Grey Meadow Farm offers hours of exploring on the trail and woods road network that wind up to the farm’s own mountaintop. Ski up to the sugar house for dinner with friends.

Located in South-Central Vermont, near Stratton and Bromley, as well as Dorset and Manchester’s shopping and restaurants there is plenty of room for family and guests between the main house, studio, offices, guest apartment and sugar house, all updated with a light-hearted design style.
