A Visit to Windy Peaks Farm in Hill, NH

House

I had the pleasure of visiting one our new listings, Windy Peaks Farm in Hill, New Hampshire on an absolutely stellar day. Spring was finally in the air, and the snow was beginning to recede as I came up the drive bounded by stonewalls and mature trees. I knew there would be a good view at the top, how could there not be if the paperwork said 270 degrees? But as I rounded the corner to face the 5,000 square-foot expanded Cape I was stunned by such a jaw dropping view. Other typical real estate marketing terms immediately sprang to mind: “spectacular”, “phenomenal”, “incredible”.

View Fence

Windy Peaks is situated on the top of a hill encompassing 155 acres of sweeping fields and woodlands. Looking across from the front of the house I could see the slopes of Ragged Mt. Resort just a few miles away. Even more spectacular is the view from the back. Looking out the kitchen window I could see Newfound Lake, one of New Hampshire’s most pristine lakes, located about 10 miles away in the town of Bristol, as well as mountain peaks spanning the view in every direction. The other buildings I visited on the property, the three-story barn, potting house, and guest cottage all provided lovely views. It won’t be long now before the tennis court and swimming pond are clear and ready for action, and the 10 acres of irrigated lawn have changed from white to brilliant green.
