When we think of Cape Cod, we naturally think of summer vacation, but there are also thriving year round communities like Woods Hole.  And when we think of Woods Hole, our first thought is the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and other marine research organizations like the Marine Biological Laboratory and the Sea Education Association. In fact Woods Hole is really a very diverse community where Nobel prize winners, fishermen, and artists feel equally at home.

An example of the cultural diversity of this small village is the Woods Hole Film Festival which is dedicated to presenting the best independent films from emerging filmmakers.  From October to April the Festival, in cooperation with the Cap’n Kidd restaurant, presents a weekly series called Dinner & a Movie. More information is available at www.woodsholefilmfestival.org.
