Spring in Massachusetts – budding flowers, the Boston Marathon, and Patriots’ Day celebrations. Every year, Massachusetts communities celebrate Patriots’ Day and we remember those who have sacrificed for our freedom, and a milestone in American history demonstrating resilience.
Crowds are drawn to Lexington, Concord and Minute Man National Historical Park to see commemorative events such as the Lexington Battle Reenactment and the Patriots’ Day Parade.
Patriots’ Day falls on April 16th this year, and there is no shortage of events to attend and take part in throughout the weekend. We’ve highlighted a few below:
- Warlike Preparations at the Barrett Farm, experience the preparations that Colonel James Barrett undertook in order to safeguard the town’s military supplies. April 15th, 2018.
- The Hill Burying Ground Walking Tour from Wright Tavern, a special tour provided by the Concord Museum. April 16th, 2018.
- The Liberty Ride, Trolley Tour of Lexington and Concord. Weekends April and May, 2018.
