Old Silver Beach, North Falmouth |
The Falmouth Enterprise newspaper recently reported that due to an assortment of projects intended to protect and improve the shoreline, Falmouth beaches have received wide spread attention both on a local and national level.
Last year Yankee Magazine named Falmouth the 12th best beach town in the New England area and Parent Magazine named Falmouth the 4th best town for families to vacation with their children. Kimberly Kane, a mom of three in Bedford, New Hampshire says in Parents Magazine, “During low tide, Wood Neck Beach has shallow warm wading areas and a marshy sandbar area with crabs and other little creatures, my kids love this place!” Stewart Young’s listing at 24 Millfield Street in Woods Hole, a village in the town of Falmouth, features two porches overlooking Eel Pond and is a short walk to Stoney Beach on Buzzards Bay and Nobska Beach on Vineyard Sound.
